Role Description
The role of a Senior ML Consultant in healthcare directly impacts the quality and efficiency of patient care, contributing to significant advancements in Public Healthcare, Operational Efficiency, treatment planning, Capacity optimization within healthcare institutions.
This role is critical in integrating AI into the healthcare ecosystem, ensuring that technological innovations translate into real-world improvements in patient care.
Key Experience:

5-7 years of experience in machine learning, with at least 1 year in the healthcare sector.

Proven expertise in working with healthcare datasets (e.g., EMR/EHR, ICD coding, and claims data, public health).

Experience with specific healthcare-related use cases such as predictive analytics for patient outcomes, hospital resource optimization, or LLM.
Technical and Soft Skills:

Data Engineering, Cleansing, Anomaly Detection and Modeling Skills

Excellent Level of Data Science experience on complex models including LLM and on-premise Generative AI.

Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn.

Familiarity with healthcare standards like HL7, FHIR, or DICOM

Experience in Alteryx, Databricks or SAS is a plus.

Strong communication skills to articulate technical ideas to healthcare professionals.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-stakes healthcare environments.

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Mentor junior data scientists and engineers on healthcare-specific challenges in data science and ML.

Lead projects from conception to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery and model success.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
Responsibilities:

Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured healthcare data (e.g., EHRs, claims data, Call Center).

Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models to improve healthcare outcomes (e.g., disease prediction, readmission rates, patient care optimization).

Implement models for natural language processing (NLP) in healthcare applications, such as medical text analysis or voice-based data inputs.

Work closely with physicians, data scientists, and health administrators to define problems, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure that ML models align with clinical workflows.

Communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring models' usability and addressing ethical or regulatory concerns (e.g., HIPAA).
